I created this sped up video by using Coral, it is a video editing software that has many tools. I used the cut tool to be able to get rid of me talking in the beginning of the clip as it makes it look a lot more crisp going straight into the video. I also used the layer tool to put music over the top of the video, I did this to make the video less boring because if it was silent it would loose the interest of the audience.

Before I filmed and made me video I printed out the Editors code of practice and picked out the bits that were important and related to my magazine that I am going to be producing. As I am not going to be putting in anything to do with finance or things like that so I decided not to include it.

Initial Response To Chosen Brief.

I have selected to do my coursework this year on the brief that requires me to make a extract from a documentary which lasts 5 minutes. I have to create 2 other pieces along side my documentary and these can be; Radio Trailer for the documentary. Double-page spread from a listings magazine focused in the documentary. Newspaper Advertisement for the documentary. For my ancillary tasks I am going to do the double page spread from a listings magazine because I would like to be able to write about my project and give text because people may not fully understand the angle I am going for within my documentary. Also, I think that people would read about it and it would make them watch it. For the second ancillary task I am going to do the newspaper advertisement so I can put my photo-shop skills to use. Draft double page spread

After finishing this I have decided that this is the idea that I want to use, I love the theme and the images but there is a lot to change and rearrange with trying to make it look like a proper magazine double page spread. If this was going to be my final piece I know that many things would have to be change such as- The spacing within the text doesn't look profession, it looks scruffy and mismatched. I would make it all square and equal. I would do this to produce a crisp and clear line between the text and the photos.  There no page numbers which would need to be on there as it would not be a proper double page spread- This would need to be added to my final pages.  I would make sure that all of the images looked as if they go together, I may even fade them into the background.
